Woman

by Destiny Ramos

Let women be angry.

Let us cry and scream and beat at the chests of those who have stepped on our necks to keep us silent for so long.

Let women be angry.

Let us purge and yell and slap at the faces of those who have betrayed us throughout the history of time.

Let women be angry.

Let us make the distinction that it was the suppression of the Divine Feminine that has led us to this inferno so far from Eden.

Let women be angry.

Let us mourn the lives lost at the hands of killers, of men, of those who have led us astray with hearts full of greed and empty of compassion.

Let women be angry.

Let the ghosts of our ancestors haunt these concrete streets where beneath the rubble, the blood of Gaia runs free.

LET WOMEN BE ANGRY.

So our wombs may be free of anguish and once again we can birth a nation where there is love.

LET WOMEN BE ANGRY.

Because it is on our breasts that this nation is fed and in our belly where it is born.

Let women be angry.

Because “not all men” does not negate the fact that it is “most” men.

Let us be angry.

So finally our voices can be heard.
